I.E.P. Goal 2

Long Term Goal:

Henry will develop the independence to access equipment in a familiar environment.

Short Term Goal:

Henry will gather the resources he needs to complete a familiar activity twice a day, with reduced visual prompts.

Progressing to:
Henry will gather the resources he needs to complete a familiar activity twice a day, and afterwards put them away in the correct place, with reduced visual prompts.

Term 1:

Henry tends to wait for things to be done for him or given to him, e.g. the pencil, glue stick.He does know where these things are kept. He waits for prompts before moving or completing routines.

When highly motivated Henry will quickly move his chair to the stated place and be ready to participate in an activity, although he may not have collected the resources he needs to participate.
